About Us

With over ten years experience in the industry and trained by British Gas to NVQ level 3, Thistle Heating Services are experienced in a wide range of appliances. Whether carrying out servicing or repairs, we care about our customers and are honest and upfront when it comes to faults. We would rather fix a problem than replace unnecessarily. We carry lots of spares to deal with common issues quickly and are also qualified to work on both natural gas and LPG.

Services offered

Servicing

We offer Servicing and Landlords Gas Safety Certificates. We are experienced with a variety of appliances, including Warm Air, Gas Fires, Cookers and Gas Boilers. We carry a wide range of seals and service kits, so you can be assured we can safely strip and thoroughly clean your appliances as required.    

Repairs

We can fix any heating or hot water problems from total breakdowns to circulation issues, faulty and leaking radiators and gas appliance faults. We carry a wide range of parts on the van to try and keep any disruption to a minimum. 

Installations

We can be on hand to offer advice and recommendations appropriate to your needs and install a brand new energy efficient central heating system in your home. As well as the installation of radiators, thermostats, hot water systems and unvented cylinders.

Everything Else

We carry out other types of maintenance such as power flushing and servicing of unvented cylinders. We also offer efficiency upgrades such as new radiators, heated towel rails, thermostatic radiator valves, filters, hard water protection and the latest wireless heating controls that can be operated using your mobile phone.

My timer stopped working so no heating and hot water. British Gas couldn’t send anyone for 11 days so I went through Local Heroes.
Eric responded quickly. We negotiated a time the next day. He let me know when he would be arriving and duly arrived on time. Eric was courteous, polite and very helpful. I was comfortable to have him in my home. The problem was just a fuse but he checked a variety of things, including British Gas paperwork from previous repairs to make sure there was nothing which had caused the fuse to blow. I can thoroughly recommend Eric and would be happy to use him again.

My gas boiler broke down on a cold February night, I contacted British Gas who recommended a local boiler engineer through their Local Hero scheme.
